Skill-focused 4WD adventures designed for PNL 4WDriving trained drivers and returning participants.
PNL 4WDriving regularly runs 4WD Trips from Melbourne for drivers who have completed a PNL 4WDriving course and are ready to further develop their skills in real-world conditions. These trips are designed to give you the opportunity to practise your off-road driving techniques, apply your recovery knowledge, and enjoy challenging terrain with like-minded drivers.
With a maximum group of 10 vehicles, we explore carefully selected 4WD tracks near Melbourne, typically within an hour of the city. Terrain is chosen to provide a mix of conditions — some sections may be straightforward, while others may require careful line selection, traction management, and confident vehicle control.
Starting at 9:00am (please arrive 15–30 minutes early) at a designated meeting location, we head off for a full day of technical 4WDriving, break for lunch, then continue exploring in the afternoon, finishing around 4:00pm.
On all 4WD Trips, you will have the opportunity to:
Practise low-range driving techniques
Refine your recovery skills and terrain assessment
Build confidence in more technical conditions
Ask questions and receive professional insight
Depending on the number of vehicles attending, there will be one or two fully equipped PNL 4WDriving instructor vehicles available to assist if required. While these trips are not formal training days, our instructors are there to ensure safety and provide guidance when needed.

PNL 4WDriving regularly runs 2-day 4WD Trips from Melbourne for drivers who have completed a PNL 4WDriving course and are ready to further develop their skills across varied terrain and conditions. These overnight adventures allow you to apply your off-road driving techniques over a full weekend, building confidence and experience in real-world environments.
With a maximum group size of 10 vehicles, we explore carefully selected Victorian 4WD tracks, typically located within about an hour of Melbourne. Terrain is chosen to provide a mix of conditions — some sections may be straightforward, while others may require careful line selection, traction control, and confident vehicle handling.
Day 1
Starting at 9:00am (please arrive 15–30 minutes early) at a designated meeting location, we head off for a full day of technical 4WDriving, break for lunch, and continue exploring through the afternoon. We finish around 4:00pm to set up camp for the night and enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow drivers.
Day 2
On Day 2, we explore a different area, offering fresh tracks, new terrain, and additional opportunities to practise your low-range driving techniques and terrain assessment skills.
